On board Concorde… at Scotland’s National Museum of Flight

We stopped by the National Museum of Flight on our way home from North Berwick. It’s a great day out with the kids.

Explore restored WWII hangars telling stories of military and civil aviation.

Discover:

  • Supersonic air travel on board Concorde – Scotland’s only Concorde and one of the world’s most iconic aircraft and the only one that could fly faster than the speed of sound. Just 3.5 hours from London to New York.
  • An air ambulance service connecting remote Scottish islands with the mainland – 22 babies were born on board when expectant mums were on their way to hospital.
  • Supermarine Spitfire – the Spitfire British combat aircraft that played a vital role in the Battle of Britain in 1940.
