Love flying? Fascinated by aeroplanes? Then staying the night at Jumbo Stay is a must. Visit this novelty Jumbo Jet hotel – on the ground – at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
History
Your Jumbo Stay hotel is jumbo jet 747-212B which was built in 1976 and was cleverly transformed into a budget hotel in 2007, retaining many of its original features including landing gear.
The man behind Jumbo Stay, Oscar Diös, heard about an old wreck of an aircraft for sale – a decommissioned model 747-200 jumbo jet last operated by Transjet, a Swedish airline that went bankrupt in 2002.
Originally built for Singapore Airlines, the Jumbo Jet later served with Pan Am.
Book the Cockpit Suite (room 747) and stay first class in the flight deck.

Economy is fun too…
We had a double bed and single bunk in room 734.
